Volunteering

Independent Parental Supporters -
We welcome Parents / carers to work as volunteers with us as Independent Parental Supporters (IPS).

An IPS volunteer should:
• be interested in special educational needs and disability
• want to help parents work in partnership
• want to help parents play an active and informed role
• be aware of the need for confidentiality
• enjoy working as part of a team
• be prepared to take part in an accredited training
• have spare time available, particularly during term-time
• be prepared to have a CRB check
We pay work -related expenses and offer volunteers the chance to develop their skills and interests as part of a supportive team.

We are not currently recruting IPS's but hope to do so early next year. If you are interested in volunteering as an IPS contact: -
Debbie Gibbon (PPS Manager)
Tel: 01952 457172

What is an IPS?

This short film was produced by Hackney Parent Partnership Service and will give you an idea of what it is like to volunteer with us.

There may be some differences in the way we work locally.
