Does your child have special educational needs?

The Parent Partnership Service provides independent information and support to parents/carers of children with special educational needs across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

Parent Partnership Officers can offer parents/carers a range of flexible services including:

• access to accurate and impartial information on educational issues.
• individual support (by telephone or home visits).
• support in preparing for and attending meetings.
• help with writing letters and reports and completing forms relating to your child's education.
• support to enable you to work in partnership with schools, local authorities and other agencies.

The service is free to parents/carers of children with special educational needs.

We publish a variety of information leaflets which are available via our download or by telephoning our referral line details below.

To contact the Parent Partnership Service please telephone our referral line on 01952 211434 Monday-Thursday 9.30 am-4.00 pm (answer machine facility at all other times).  All information is confidential and will be passed to the relevant Parent Partnership Officer for your area.

The Parent Partnership Service operates Monday-Thursday including school holidays.

Like to model for photosymbols?

Photosymbols are pictures used by people with learning disabilties.  They help make written information easier to understand. 

Photosymbols are working with the Council for Disabled Children (CDC) to get pictures of children, young people and families.  CDC are helping us get in touch with groups and develop new photosymbols for children.

We are looking for parent and children who would like to be models.  If you're interested, please get in touch.  We can tell you more about how it works .....
